I'm near the intersection of S 56th St and S Tacoma Way, sandwiched between Hive Co (they're 5436 and we're 5436 "B") and Pho V&V, directly across from Mind Eye Tattoo.

Important: Services are by appointment only. I do not accept walk-ins. Our building is locked during business hours. If it's your first appointment with me, ring the video doorbell and I'll unlock the door, though if you're more than 10 minutes early I might not hear you. If you've been here before, I will text you the door code. This code is disabled after hours.

Parking and Entrance: There is typically plenty of street parking on South Tacoma Way, right at the entrance. Clients may also park in the lot right behind our building, called "Heritage Corner Parking". The sign for it says a permit is required, but this is waived for clients for the duration of your appointment.

Please note the only entrance is on S Tacoma Way. There is no direct entrance from the parking lot so you'd have to walk around the block to get to it. If our neighbor, Hive Co., is open, you may use their back entrance and go through their shop as a shortcut. The Rapture entrance is directly to your left as you exit their shop. Their hours are listed on hivetacoma.com.

If I don't text back right away, it means I'm in session or otherwise unavailable but we do see it and will respond as soon as we can.

There is a long flight of stairs to our space but no elevator or escalator. Please text me ahead of time if you'd like assistance going up or down those stairs, I'd be happy to help.
Each massage table has a weight capacity of about 400 pounds (total working capacity of 600 pounds).
I wear either a KF94 or KN95 mask at all times. However, masking is optional for clients.
There is air conditioning in the treatment room.
I do not use fragrance diffusers. I do however blend essential oils with the oils/creams used in treatment if you're okay with it.
I use carrier oils of organic sunflower, olive, grapeseed, and/or avocado. I often blend them with essential oils but an unscented oil is always available. I'll be sure to ask you first. My 'house blend' is a muscle relief combination of wintergreen, peppermint, black pepper, helichrysum or spike lavender, and clove. You are welcome to request a specific carrier oil to accomodate allergies and sensitivities.
You are welcome to stay as clothed as you like for your massage, and I modify my technique accordingly. The intake form has a section about consent for draping and massage for specific areas of the body. Genitals are always covered and never touched.
My bathroom is for all genders.
You're welcome to bring one trusted support person to stay in the treatment room as a witness during your massage. There is enough seating for them.
I have a variety of bolsters to support different body positions, including a pre-natal set nearly identical to this one.
My microfiber linens are washed with fragrance free laundry detergent but I pre-soak them with dish soap to fully remove oil from the sheets. The dish soap is not fragrance-free. Usually the dish soap scent is eliminated during the wash cycle but occasionally it remains at a very low level.
I run an air-purifier at the highest setting for additional white noise to help me focus. I provide a much better massage that way. Please let me know if the sound is bothersome for you and I'll be happy to turn it down.
I do not bill any health insurance, and we currently do not bill any LNI or PIP for car accidents. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, however. Just email me at carol@rapturemassageandbodyworks.com after your visit and let her know you which visits you need one for. I also accept FSA and HSA cards that have a Visa or Mastercard logo on them.
