Rapture Massage is located on the traditional and ancestral territory of Steilacoom, Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla peoples. Our address is:

We're near the intersection of S 56th St and S Tacoma Way, sandwiched between Hive Co (they're 5436 and we're 5436 "B") and Pho V&V, directly across from Mind Eye Tattoo.

Important:  We are by appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins. Our building is locked during business hours.  If it's your first appointment with us, ring our video doorbell and we'll unlock the door, though if you're more than 10 minutes early we might not hear you. If you've been here before, we will text you our door code. This code is disabled after hours.

Parking and Entrance: There is typically plenty of street parking on South Tacoma Way, right in front of our entrance. However, clients may also park in the lot right behind our building, called "Heritage Corner Parking".  The sign for it says a permit is required, but this is waived for our clients for the duration of your appointment.

 

Please note our only entrance is on S Tacoma Way. There is no direct entrance to our facility from the parking lot, so you'd have to walk around the block to get to us.  If our neighbor, Hive Co., is open, you may use their back entrance and  go through their shop as a shortcut. Our entrance is directly to your left as you exit their shop. Their hours are listed on hivetacoma.com.

Additional Accessibility Notes:

• There is a long flight of stairs to our space but no elevator or escalator. Let us know ahead of time if you'd like assistance going up or down those stairs, we'd be happy to help.

• Each massage table has a weight capacity of about 400 pounds (total working capacity of 600 pounds).

• All LMTs are required to wear a mask at all times. However, masking is optional for clients.

• We do not use fragrance diffusers. We do however blend essential oils with the oils/creams used in treatment but we don't have to.

• We use carrier oils of organic sunflower, olive, grapeseed, and/or avocado. We often blend them with essential oils but an unscented oil is always available.  We'll be sure to ask you first. Our 'house blend' is a muscle relief combination of wintergreen, peppermint, black pepper, helichrysum or spike lavender, and clove. Some therapists might use shea butter, mango butter, or some kind of body butter blend for certain modalities like Myofascial Release/Triggerpoint.​

• Our bathroom is for all genders.

• We have a variety of bolsters to support different body positions, including a pre-natal set nearly identical to this one. 

• We do not bill any health insurance, and we do not bill any LNI or PIP for car accidents.  We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, however.  Just email Carol at carol@rapturemassageandbodyworks.com and let her know you which visits you need one for.  We also accept FSA and HSA cards that have a Visa or Mastercard logo on them.
